The Baitfish Spoon series is proof of that. Shadtallica. Codsmack. Fluke Fighters. Squid Row. Krillswitch Engage. These are band puns. Terrible, wonderful, completely unhinged band puns. And every single one of them catches king salmon.
Shadtallica is Metallica meets the shad — the forage fish that Great Lakes kings can't resist. The UV color profile on this one was built for vertical jigging on Lake Michigan, and it's become a staple for anglers targeting kings in open water. The name is ridiculous. The fish count is not.
Codsmack and Codsmack 2.0 are our Godsmack tribute and our Lake Michigan river mouth kings spoons. The color scheme was developed specifically for king salmon staging at river mouths — that electric window before the fall run when fish stack up and get aggressive.
